Leitner as Keynote speaker

Congress of the Organometallic Chemistry Group (GEQO)

Prof. Walter Leitner was invited as one of the plenary speakers to give a lecture at the XXXVI Congress of the Organometallic Chemistry Group (GEQO) that is held from 5-7 September 2018 in Zaragoza, Spain. The GEQO congress is organized by the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and aims to highly engage a discussion with a focus on organometallic chemistry and homogenous catalysis in the view of latest developments.

The plenary lecture of Prof. Leitner is additionally sponsored by ChemPubSoc Europe. In his talk entitled "Catalysis at the Interface of Energy and Chemistry - Is Manganese the better Ruthenium?" he will focus on the latest results of his research on the Mn-catalyzed hydrogenation of carbonates. This very recent and important topic was just published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition (Kaithal, A., Hölscher, M., Leitner, W. (2018). Angew. Chem. Inter.
