CEC employee becomes chairman of VDI's junior staff association

As part of their voluntary work, Mr. Marco Schrimpf (MPI CEC) and Mr. Oliver Grossmann (TU Kaiserslautern) were welcomed as the new Chairmen of the creative young process engineers (kjVI) of the VDI-GVC during the ProcessNet Annual Meeting 2018 in Aachen.

The kjVI are an honorary group of students, PhD students, and fresh process engineers. The group’s goal is to inspire young people to work in the chemical and related industries, to deepen the knowledge of students through interesting competitions such as ChemCar and chemPLANT, and to help shape their curriculum by participating in committees.

Mr. Schrimpf is a research assistant at the Department of Molecular Catalysis under Prof. Dr. Walter Leitner, and is doing his PhD within the group of Multiphasic Catalysis of Prof. Dr. Andreas Vorholt.
