Sheng-Hsiang Lin Wins 3rd Prize at International Conference on Unconventional Catalysis in Warsaw

Recognition for Pioneering Work in Magnetically Responsive Catalytic Systems

From September 17 – 20, 2024, the 3rd International Conference on Unconventional Catalysis, Reactors, and Applications took place in Warsaw, Poland, bringing together top minds in the field to discuss cutting-edge advancements in catalytic systems. Among the attendees was Sheng-Hsiang Lin, PostDoc with Alexis Bordet and Walter Leitner at Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, whose outstanding oral presentation earned them the 3rd prize at the conference, along with a €300 cash award sponsored by Hubergroup.

Sheng-Hsiang Lin’s presentation, titled "Selective and Adaptive Hydrogenation of Amides using a Magnetically Responsive Pt/Al2O3 Catalyst Heated by Magnetic Induction," focused on pioneering research in the field of magnetically responsive adaptive catalytic systems. This innovative approach enables challenging chemical transformations to occur under mild conditions using magnetic induction heating, a technology with significant potential for industrial applications.

Congratulations to Sheng-Hsiang Lin!
