On 12 August, the MPI CEC had the great pleasure of welcoming three outstanding scientists as part of the symposium series "Future of Chemical Energy Conversion - The Role of Catalysis for Future Energy Systems: From Molecules to Systems.".
Styliani Avraamidou from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dominik Bongartz from KU Leuven and Gonzalo Guillén-Gosálbez from ETH Zurich gave inspiring talks and shared their valuable insights into the future of chemical energy conversion. Their presentations provided important impulses for our research work and stimulated intensive discussions.
Following the presentations, there was the opportunity to introduce laboratories and research areas and to discuss current projects and future challenges in catalysis in personal conversations.
It was a great pleasure to have such renowned guests and brilliant speakers at the institute. The MPI CEC would like to thank everyone for their visit and the stimulating discussions that made today a complete success. The directors and scientists of the MPI CEC look forward to continuing the fruitful collaboration in the future and tackling the challenges of the energy transition together.
