Vom 30. Januar – 1. Februar hält MPI Direktor Frank Neese Vorlesungen im Rahmen der renommierten Harry Emmett Gunning Vorlesungsreihe an der kanadischen University of Alberta.
Die Vorlesungsreihe findet inzwischen jährlich statt und besteht in seiner heutigen Form seit 1983. Unter den Vortragenden der vergangenen Jahrzehnte sind mehrere Nobelpreisträger.

Die Vorlesungstitel lauten:
