Present environmental challenges create a pressing need for new solutions in transport, agriculture, and chemical industries. Many suggested solutions rely on the development of new catalytic processes. A deep understanding of the underlying science, as well as a consideration of the economical aspects when moving toward industrial-scale implementation are essential for making a transformative change towards a more sustainable future.

The second ACAMEC symposium will provide a platform for discussion welcoming both academic and industrial perspectives. Excellent academic speakers will share their latest insights from a combination of  experimental, spectroscopic, and theoretical approaches with a  particular focus on catalysis. By extending an invitation to industrial  participants, one of the aims of the meeting is to create a bridge to the economic and ecological considerations important for catalytic  processes on a large scale. Additionally, one of the key aims of the meeting is to offer young scientists at the Ph.D. level the opportunity to present their research during oral or poster presentations, and to discuss with experts from their fields.
