CEC Director Prof. Walter Leitner has been appointed to the <link http: onlinelibrary.wiley.com doi ange.201712714 full _blank external-link-new-window internal link in current>board of trustees of the journal Angewandte Chemie. He has been in office since January 2018.
The Board of Trustees advises the editorial staff on all important issues concerning the journal. The members are appointed by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) on recommendation of the board of trustees and the editorial staff.

Prof. Leitner has also been appointed as member of the Executive Board of the Society for Chemical Engineering and Biology Technology (<link http: dechema.de dechema_ev en _blank external-link-new-window internal link in current>DECHEMA) since the beginning of the year. The members of the DECHEMA Executive Board are elected for a three-year term of office and are divided into the "Science","Apparatus and Plant Engineering" and "Chemical Industry/Biotechnology" groups. They thus represent the most important areas of DECHEMA.
