We will be opening our doors to interested visitors on Saturday, 13 May from 10 am to 4 pm.

Energy research in the middle of the Ruhr region for young and old: child-friendly stations, the latest laboratory technology and highly complex research equipment.

At the open day, visitors can marvel at the newly constructed laboratory buildings and discuss exciting topics related to energy research with scientists. The CEC team will be demonstrating the day-to-day work at a research institute and offering anyone interested the opportunity to explore the world of chemistry during tours, lectures and hands-on experiments.

We also cordially invite you to attend the experimental lecture "Fire & Ice" by our director Prof. Walter Leitner. This will take place at 11.30 am as well as at 2 pm.
