Scientists of the Max Planck Instute of Chemical Energy Conversion in cooperation with the AG Photobiotechnologie at the Ruhr Universität Bochum found out, how to improve the efficiency of hydrogen-production in algae. These achievements could clear the way for the development of an environmentally friendly, regenerative energy supply that does not depend on expensive and rare noble metals.
Dr. Sigrun Rumpel, Judith Siebel, Dr. Edward Reijerse, Prof. Wolfgang Lubitz and other researchers explicate their results in the current issue of <link http: pubs.rsc.org en content articlelanding ee _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>Energy and Environmental Science.
