The latest special issue of the Journal <link http: onlinelibrary.wiley.com journal _blank external-link-new-window internal link in current>Photochemistry and Photobiology (P&P) was dedicated to our recently retired group leader Prof. Wolfgang Gärtner.

He received a printed copy of the journal as a surprise for his 65th birthday during a symposium on Photochemistry and Photobiology, organized by Prof. Jörg Matysik and colleagues, in Lepizig. Gärtner, who worked at the MPI CEC (respectively MPI für Strahlenchemie/Bioanorganische Chemie) from 1991 to 2016 is now an invited Professor at the University of Leipzig.
