The Haus Ruhrnatur in Mülheim celebrated a big family party on Sunday, September 9th. Numerous attractions inspired many kids and their families and lot of local clubs and schools presented different and fascinating exhibits.
The MPI CEC was also part of the event. The apprentices explaind physical phenomenons and showed spectacular experiments. Kids could see how to use a photovoltaic system and how to gerenate electricity by using electrolysis. The prospective laboratory chemists and physicists taught the visitors how do extract carbon from sugar and how to produce "elefants toothpaste" with detergent, 30% hydrogen peroxide and potassium iodide.
Of course the icecream produced with liquid nitrogen was a highlight for all the kids.
