The 8th Mülheim Company Run took place on 28 May 2024, a highlight in the city's event calendar that once again attracted numerous participants and promoted the team spirit and sporting commitment of the participating companies and organizations. As in previous years, the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung took this opportunity to take part in the run with a joint team.

The team comprised an impressive 110 runners, who stood out not only for their numbers, but also for their uniform clothing. All team members wore custom-made T-shirts with the slogan “Research drives us”. This motto reflects the passion and commitment with which the employees of the two institutes pursue their professional tasks and now also tackled sporting challenges - despite the rainy weather.
