Agnieszka Adamska-Venkatesh examined the structure and function of [FeFe]-hydrogenases in her graduate thesis at Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion, Department of Biophysical Chemistry (Prof. Lubitz). Her main focus was to understand the processes in the active center of the enzyme during catalysis. The Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf now honored her dissertation as top of 2015 of the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
