Yesterday, Prof. Dr. Walter Leitner in his function as Vice Chairman of DECHEMA e.V. together with Managing Director Prof. Dr. Kurt Wagemann presented the DECHEMA Prize 2019 to PD Dr. Harun Tüysüz (Max Planck Institute für Kohlenforschung).
Dr. Tüysüz received the prize for his outstanding work on the development of catalysts that can be used both in chemical syntheses and in energy conversion.
After the award ceremony, Prof. Dr. Robert Schlögl spoke about hydrogen as the green gas of the future and the challenges for science and politics.
The presentations were broadcasted online, so that despite the current restrictions many interested people had the opportunity to attend the event.
