After a six-months construction period, two containers where taken from MPI CEC grounds to the thyssenkrupp area in Duisburg.
The containers belong to the Hüttengas Properties (HüGaProp)-Project, which is closely connected to <link https: www.bmbf.de de mit-abgas-das-klima-retten-3044.html _blank external-link-new-window internal link in current>Carbon2Chem. The project aims at analyzing the emissions from thyssenkrupp steel mills. Especially all the trace components in the gases will be examined, which might disturb following processes like the methanol-syntheses (as planned in the Carbon2Chem project).
CEC scientist and HüGaProp project leader, Dr. Jorge Iván Salazar Gómez, was responsible for the construction and interior fittings of the container. To start measuring the emissions, the containers where brought to the thyssenkrupp grounds.
