Prof. Dr. Robert Schlögl, MPI CEC Director, received the <link http: www.wissenschaft.nrw.de forschung fortschritt-nrw forschungsleistung-wuerdigen _blank internal link in current>Innovation-Award of North Rhine-Westphalia for his contributions in the energy revolution on February 29th.
Schlögl is the founding director of the MPI CEC (since 2011) and director of the Fritz-Haber-Institute in Berlin (since 1994). His research focuses on heterogeneous reactions and materials for energy storage concepts.
Science Minister Svenja Schulze quoted noble prize winner Gerhard Ertl, Schlögl is not only an excellent scientist but also an amazing research coordinator.
Schlögl thanked his team and said, that the prize is a wonderful acknowlegement for all his team’s work. The Innovation-Award is one of the most important prizes of the state NRW.
