Carl Zerbe Prize for Alexis Bordet

Carl Zerbe Prize of the DGMK will be awarded in November.

Dr Alexis Bordet, group leader at the MPI CEC, will be awarded the prestigious Carl Zerbe Prize. This honour recognises his outstanding research achievements in the field of molecular catalysis, in particular the development of multifunctional catalytic systems and catalysis research. His work contributes significantly to the progress of chemical energy conversion by researching new methods for the activation and transfer of molecular hydrogen.

The Carl Zerbe Prize, awarded by the German Society for Mineral Oil, Natural Gas and Coal (DGMK), is presented annually to scientists who have made significant contributions in the field of fuels and lubricants. Alexis Bordet will receive the award at the DGMK annual conference in November 2024, where he will also present his research findings.

Alexis Bordet, who holds a doctorate from the University of Toulouse, joined the MPI CEC as a group leader in 2018. His work focuses on the development of novel catalysts that enable more efficient and sustainable chemical energy conversion.

The MPI CEC congratulates Alexis Bordet on this well-deserved recognition.
