Announcement: Experimental lecture ‘Fire & Ice’ at the MPI CEC

Invitation to the experimental lecture ‘Fire & Ice: Hydrogen and carbon dioxide as molecular building blocks at the interface of energy and chemistry’ on 5 September 2024

>> THE EVENT ON 05.09.24 IS FULLY BOOKED <<

Experience science up close

Please note: The event will be held in German.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of molecules! On 5 September, the atrium of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion will be transformed into a stage for spectacular experiments and exciting discoveries. Starting at 19:00, you can expect an evening full of science that will amaze you.

In the presentation by Prof Walter Leitner and his team of experts, you will experience at first hand how science is brought to life. In a dynamic mixture of lecture and live experiments in the laboratory, we will take you on a 60-minute journey into the world of hydrogen and carbon dioxide and show you how renewable energy can be stored, transported and utilised with it

The number of places is limited, so we recommend early registration.

This experimental lecture marks the start of our new event series ‘Meet the Scientist’. With this series, we would like to give you the opportunity to regularly explore the fascinating world of science and get in direct contact with leading researchers at the MPI CEC. You can look forward to further exciting events at which we will offer you insights into our current research projects and show you how science is shaping our future.

If you have any questions, please contact the Research Communication team at **info@cec.mpg.de**.

Let yourself be inspired by science and experience how chemistry comes alive!

We look forward to an exciting evening with you! (Please note: The event will be held in German.)
